Strategic Elements

Integration

A unique aspect of Tri4Him® is its integrated approach to both ministry and operations. Tri4Him® strategically leverages almost every physical activity and communication to achieve a greater spiritual purpose.

As we begin to mature as Christians, our physical stewardship becomes a matter of obedience and a fundamental training ground for our spiritual development. How can we be found faithful with what we canít see if we aren’t faithful with what we can see? Our physical stewardship (whether that of neglect or obsession or obedience) is a key indicator of our spiritual condition. Tri4Him® trains people to be obedient in their physical stewardship improving both their physical and spiritual condition.

A few of the areas of integration in Tri4Him®’s ministry and operations include the following:

Physical training and education »» Spiritual discipleship
Discipleship through triathlons »» Financial support for other ministries
Fundraising and promotion »» Evangelism/Outreach
Group triathlon training »» Church assimilation
Workout partners »» Spiritual accountability partners

Perpetuation

As Christians, our physical stewardship, spiritual maturation, and ministry to others are our lifelong responsibilities. Tri4Him®’s functional design and ministry approach are self-perpetuating in the following ways:

  • Effective discipleship equips Christians to evangelize and disciple others
  • Participation with Tri4Him® creates opportunities to initiate discussions with others about its mission and objectives and develop meaningful relationships with them (evangelism/discipleship)
  • Delta Team fundraisers are established as annual events to provide long-term financial support for their partner ministry

“Domestiquetion”

A domestique is a cycling term used to identify the member of a competitive cycling team who’s job it is to ride in such a way to benefit another rider, usually riding in front of the other rider to reduce wind drag. The other rider is able to achieve an outcome much greater than if competing independently. The domestique rides sacrificially for the benefit of the other rider. Domestique is the French word for “servant.”

In Christianity, Jesus was the ultimate Domestique living a life for the sole purpose of dying on the cross for the benefit of those who will follow Him. Those who choose to follow Him should follow His lead and live lives that glorify Him and draw others to Him. Tri4Him® members encourage each other to lead such lives. Tri4Him® Teams are designed to achieve this purpose their local communities. Tri4Him® itself is a domestique organization through its support of local Tri4Him® Teams and the financial support for other ministries through its Delta Teams.

Duplication

Tri4Him®’s organizational model is designed for rapid replication. Most administration and promotional activities are technology based allowing Tri4Him® to seamlessly incorporate new members and organize new teams.
