Kona Qualifier - Dusty Rhodes

One of our Tri4Him members qualified for Kona at Ironman Arizona and sent in the inspiring race report below. Great job Dusty!

“It was a great day there for me. It was also a very inspiring week. I went to the Iron Prayer meeting that Friday and got to hear some pretty incredible testimonies. Heather Gollnick spoke also and then she ended up winning the women’s Pro race. She talked about just using the race as a day spent with God praying for yourself in your low times and praying for others you see in their low times! She also said she used the song “Yes Lord” to help with run cadence. I ended up singing that to myself and I had the best run I’ve ever had! Power of God is strong! Even better there were 2 run aid stations that were run by Christian organizations and one had live praise music going as I went by a couple times on the 3 loop course. So it wasn’t just a good day for me racing it was a great day for me with God!”
